How can innovative technology be used ethically in dementia care?
About this research
Innovative technologies like virtual reality and robotic pets continue to be developed to support the health and wellbeing of people living with dementia. However, there is insufficient knowledge on how to use such technologies ethically and respectfully.
This research aims to understand how innovative technology can be ethically and safely used to support residents with dementia.
Who can participate
You're eligible for this study if you are:
- living with dementia
- a family member caring for someone with dementia, or
- a residential aged care staff/manager.
What's involved
You'll be invited to join one small group discussion or a 1-to-1 interview (60–90 minutes) via Zoom or in person, depending on the participant's availability and preferences.
Benefits of participating
Participants will receive a $50 voucher.
