Understanding physical activity levels across life stages and general physical activity patterns over adulthood

About this research

We are inviting adults aged over 40 years to participate in two short surveys on their physical activity levels during adulthood. This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of how people's physical activity levels change across different decades of adulthood, specifically from their 20s through to their 70s. The reliability of this questionnaire will also be tested.

Who can participate

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • are over 40 years old
  • are living in Australia.

What's involved

You will need to complete two online surveys a week apart. The surveys will take up to 20 minutes to complete depending on age.

These surveys cover some basic information and a recall of exercise habits in past decades. There are also some questions about major life events that may have affected your physical activity.

Participating in this study should involve no physical or mental discomfort, and no risks beyond those of everyday living. Participants are free to withdraw at any time.

Benefits of participating

After completing both surveys, participants will receive a $10 Prezzee gift card.
