Help shape the future of movement research using wearable technology

About this research

This project aims to improve our understanding of how people move during everyday activities.

Who can participate

You're eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • are aged 50 years or over
  • can move without pain or difficulty
  • can safely participate in daily activities (like making coffee).

What’s involved

You’ll be asked to:

  • participate in one 2-hour session at UQ St Lucia
  • wear small, lightweight movement sensors (similar to a smartwatch)
  • complete a range of everyday tasks, such as walking, reaching, and climbing stairs.

Benefits of participating

You'll provide information that will help researchers develop improved methods for measuring movement activity using wearable sensors.
