Impairments of ankle injuries

About this research

While ankle injuries are among the most common injuries seen in sporting and general populations, we do not know how best to assess deficits and what deficits have the greatest contribution to wellbeing, function and physical activity/sport participation.

The aim of this study is to establish the reliability, validity and responsiveness of measures in people with ankle injuries.

Who can participate

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • have had at least one previous ankle sprain, and
  • experience recurring ankle sprains, giving way and/or instability.

What's involved

You'll be asked to

  • attend 2 x 30-minute testing sessions at The University of Queensland (St Lucia campus) where the strength of your foot muscles will be assessed.

Benefits of participating

Participants will receive a $20 gift card upon completion of both sessions.
