Personality factors and emotional breakthrough among individuals who have used psychedelic compounds
About this research
This study aims to understand how individual differences, such as personality traits and past experiences, influence psychological outcomes following the use of psychedelic compounds at a macro dose, and how psychedelics influence identity.
The term psychedelic compound refers to substances that can produce changes in perception, mood, and cognition. Common examples include:
- psilocybin (found in "magic mushrooms")
- LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide)
- DMT (dimethyltryptamine)
- mescaline
- MDMA.
Who can participate
You're eligible if you:
- are aged 18 and above
- have used a macro dose of a psychedelic compound at least once in your life
- have sufficient English literacy to understand the application form and provide informed consent.
What's involved
You'll be asked to complete an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 20–30 minutes.
Benefits of participating
Participants will contribute to research understanding how psychedelic compounds influence personality traits.
