Physical activity profile, physical fitness and cardiovascular health of adults with Developmental Coordination Disorder

About this research

This research aims to investigate physical activity profile, physical fitness and cardiovascular health of adults with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and to analyse the cardiac autonomic control of the participants in the resting position and during the physical exercise.

Who can participate

You're eligible to participate in this study if you’re:

  • a UQ undergraduate student
  • aged 18–25 years old.

What's involved 

As part of this study you’ll: 

  • complete a 20-minute online survey about signs of DCD, levels of physical activity, quality of life, and sociodemographic factors
  • perform a 50-minute motor skills and physical fitness test as well as an evaluation of your cardiac condition using a Polar H-10 sensor at resting and during exercise.

The study will take place over 2 different days during the same week at The University of Queensland St Lucia campus.
