A qualitative study exploring perspectives on sports participation in athletes with patellar tendinopathy
About this research
The purpose of this research is to understand the perspectives of athletes who have patellar tendinopathy on participation in court, track, or field sports.
Who can participate
You’re eligible to participate if you:
- participate in court, track or field sports (e.g basketball, netball, volleyball of football codes, athletics)
- have patellar tendinopathy as diagnosed by a healthcare professional or pain in the front of your knee that you believe is due to patellar tendinopathy
- have symptoms of patellar tendinopathy lasting more than 5 weeks in duration
- are over 15 years of age
- are able to read and communicate in English.
What's involved
You’ll be asked to:
- attend an online clinical examination (approximately 10 minutes)
- attend an online interview (approximately 20 minutes)
- complete an online survey (approximately 5 minutes).
