Support the Young Achievers Program
Your donation to the Young Achievers Program (YAP) gives talented and motivated students the opportunity to pursue a university education and succeed, regardless of their personal circumstances.
A priority area of The Queensland Commitment, YAP assists students through their later years of high school – through mentoring, on-campus experiences and financial support, in preparation for their transition to university.
Once at UQ, YAP scholars receive an annual scholarship for up to 4 years, along with ongoing mentoring and guidance.
This support helps reduce the barriers students from regional and diverse backgrounds face when accessing a university education, making the Young Achievers Program a key part of The Queensland Commitment.

My experience with the program is one of lasting friendships, a sense of community, and growing self-assurance, not to mention instrumental financial support and an accommodation scholarship. The program has given me the means and confidence to move from a small country town to UQ in pursuit of my interests in anthropology and the social sciences.
